Description

Come Away Jah Jah Children conveys the yearning of the African slaves’ descendants to return to their homeland and free themselves from Babylon’s oppression. The song was recorded by the group The Black Survivors, also known as The Original Survivors or The Arrows, in the 70s under the production of Lawrence Lindo, better known as Jack Ruby. Another example of how in the 70s this genre was a form of cultural, political and religious expression of the Rastafarians, a community that claims its African roots and its faith in Jah.
