This time, Nyabingi / Just Before brings together the talents of Carlton Livingston, Di Ras, Ras Hassen Ti, and Far East, all under Digital English’s hardcore, speaker-shaking frequencies.
Side A kicks off with “Nyabingi,” a deep roots anthem from Carlton Livingston that captures the spirit of unity and spiritual awakening, followed by “Live and Learn,” layering Livingston’s smooth vocals with an uplifting message. Then comes “Nyah Dub,” a dub version that strips back the vocals, amplifying the rhythm in true sound system style.
On Side B, “Just Before” leads with Di Ras and Ras Hassen Ti, mixing conscious lyrics with a driving bassline that keeps the vibe high. “Jah Blessing” follows, resonating with Far East’s unique touch, and “Blessed Dub” closes the set, diving deeper into the riddim for that raw, dub-heavy experience.
