Description
“Golden Daffodils” by Fulk Reid was released in 1976 under the Uprising label and produced by Stereo Fletcher.
The lyrics are inspired by a poem written by William Wordsworth in 1804, portraying the beauty of golden daffodils.
Fulk Reid’s vocals are gentle and melodic, accompanied by acoustic guitar and a wind section. The song maintains a slow and relaxed rhythm, inviting contemplation and admiration for nature.
The vinyl’s B-side features a dub version titled “Golden Dub,” previously unreleased.
This track illustrates the influence of English poetry on Jamaican music. While Fulk Reid may be a lesser-known artist, his immense talent and sensitivity shine through.
