Description

Gaylords – I Man Suffering was released in 1975 by the group Gaylords Power Union, led by the singer and songwriter C. J. Guiste. It expresses the pain and the oppression that the rastafaris face in an unfair and violent society, and their hope of liberation and divine justice. It reflects the social and cultural reality of the rastafaris in the 70s.
The B side features a dub version called Dreads Luck Version, that emphasizes the instrumental melodies.
This gem of the reggae roots has been reissued several times, and has been covered by other artists like Ophelia.
